Individual Counselling
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
I believe therapy is a space where you should feel heard, respected, and accepted exactly as you are. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, and circumstances that have shaped you and work toward creating meaningful change.
I am a white, settler, able-bodied, cisgender woman, and I recognize that my own identities and experiences shape the way I understand the world. I strive to approach my work with humility, curiosity, and an ongoing awareness of power, privilege, and the ways systems and social expectations can impact our lives.
My Approach
My therapeutic work draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Feminist Therapy. I don't believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all experience. Instead, I work collaboratively with each person to find approaches that feel relevant, practical, and authentic to them.
CBT can help us understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours and identify patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Narrative Therapy allows us to explore the stories we carry about ourselves and our lives, while creating space to recognize strengths, values, and alternative possibilities.
My feminist-informed approach recognizes that our struggles don't happen in isolation. Gender, relationships, family, culture, expectations, and broader social systems can all influence our experiences. I am particularly passionate about supporting women and exploring the unique challenges women may face.
Supporting People Through Crisis
A significant part of my work involves supporting people experiencing crisis and difficult or overwhelming situations. I understand that sometimes people reach out for therapy when life feels like too much — whether you're navigating a major transition, relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, or simply trying to find your footing again.
In these moments, my goal is to provide a calm, non-judgmental space where we can focus on what you need right now, while also working toward longer-term healing and growth.
A Little Bit About Me
Outside of my work, I enjoy tattoos and gardening. I share my home with six pets, who bring plenty of personality, chaos, and joy into my life!
I am also in a long-term relationship and am a parent to a school-aged child. These parts of my life have given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of relationships, family life, competing responsibilities, and the many roles we can find ourselves navigating.
I don't believe that being a therapist means having everything figured out. I believe in being human, staying curious, continuing to learn, and meeting people where they are.
What You Can expect From Me
You can expect me to listen without judgment, be honest and genuine with you, and create a space where difficult things can be talked about openly.
My hope is that therapy can become a place where you feel safe enough to explore what is happening, understood enough to feel less alone, and supported enough to begin moving toward where you want to be.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you reach out. We can start wherever you are.

Territorial Acknowledgement
I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. The land on which I live and provide counselling is part of the Haldimand Tract, which includes the territory along the Grand River.
As a white settler, I recognize that my ability to live, work, and build community on this land is connected to a history of colonization, displacement, and ongoing colonial systems that continue to impact Indigenous peoples and communities.
I offer this acknowledgement not simply as a statement, but as an invitation to ongoing reflection and responsibility. In my counselling practice, I strive to remain aware of how systems of power, privilege, colonization, and inequity can shape people's experiences of safety, belonging, identity, and access to care.
I am grateful to live and work on this land and recognize my responsibility to learn from, respect, and support the ongoing presence, rights, cultures, and self-determination of Indigenous peoples.
I honour the land, the people who have cared for it since time immemorial, and those who continue to care for it today.
